    Director of the Masters of Science Caroline Hermet
    The Masters of Science (MScs) educate students to become managers who are expert in a specific business sector.

    This programme will enable you to develop specific professional skills sought after by today’s companies, thereby enhancing your employability. The MScs are open to students who have already successfully completed a minimum of 3 years of post-High School education, as well as to managers and employees with professional experience. We offer 3 different tracks (24, 16 or 12 months) and a wide choice of specialisations in line with the needs of companies. We adopt an innovative approach to teaching with the sole aim of preparing our graduates to enter the world of work with ease: 85% of our graduates find a job within 6 months of graduation.

    You also have the possibility of obtaining a double Master qualification with our partners: the IAE of Poitiers or ULCO for management, and ESTHUA for tourism.

    All Year 1 and Year 2 lessons take place in La Rochelle, Tours or Orleans with the following exceptions:
    Year 2 of the MSc in Digital Marketing and Collaborative Strategies takes place in Niort, on the Niort Tech campus.
    Year 2 of the MSc in Global Luxury Management and Innovation takes place in Cognac and Florence (Italy).

    Languages:

    • Year 1: Choice of French or English Track – Work-study is only available on the French Track (MSc International Hospitality Management : possibility to choose the 1st year dedicated to Tourism in french, click here)
    • Year 2: French or English Track, depending on choice of specialisation

    Assessment:

    Three types of evaluation:

    • Continuous assessment: 40% of the final mark
    • End-of-semester exams: 60% of the final mark
    • End-of-studies thesis, at the end of Year 2

    Your teachers:

    The Masters of Science draw on the expertise of Excelia Business School's research-active faculty. 
    In addition, lessons are given by industry professionals, renowned for their strong expertise in the different fields of management.

     

    Types of lessons:

    In Year 1, students are divided into 3 groups of 40 - 50 students, in line with their chosen study track: English Track, French Track, Work-study Track.
    Programme content is the same for all 3 groups and comprises core course modules in essential subjects related to business, management and personal development. In Semester 2, students take two modules in their chosen specialisation.

    In Year 2, students are divided by specialisation. There are 20 - 30 students per group, who study specific courses exclusively focussing on their chosen specialisation.

    Work-study: 24 or 12 months

    A real springboard for rapid vocational integration, carrying out your programme on a Work-study Track will enable you to spend an average of two thirds of your academic year working in a company.

    Carried out as a company game, students work in teams to tackle and solve real-life professional issues.

     

    Series of Lectures

    Throughout the year, industry professionals and experts will present a variety of lectures, helping students to understand the different issues and problems facing their industry sector.

     

    Humacité© Project: 2-3 months

    In Year 1 of the programme, you can undertake a social, humanitarian or civic voluntary project in an NGO or an association, either in France or abroad. This is one of the unique features of Excelia, which is committed to educating students to become future managers who are both responsible and conscious of the importance of their role in society.

     

    Climacité© Project: 2 months

    Climacité© is an opportunity for you to make a ‘commitment to the planet’! This pedagogical initiative has been designed to raise awareness, educate and train students about the issues of environmental protection and climate change.

     

    Internships: 5-11 months of experience

    Students on a classic study track can carry out a 5-month internship at the end of Year 1 and a 6-month internship at the end of Year 2, in France or abroad. The theoretical expertise acquired by MSc students during lesson time is therefore complemented and validated by significant company-based experience.  

     

    Coach Inside

    This unique educational tool has been designed to develop Soft Skills (human and relational qualities) needed in today’s business environment.  In teams or individually, Coach Inside allows students to reveal their potential in a multicultural context.

  • What is "Work-study"?

    During your academic year, the Work-study Track offers you the possibility of alternating School-based periods, during which you will learn the theory, with company-based periods, where you will work on projects relating to your studies. Vocationally-oriented, this Work-study Track is available for a period of 24 months to students joining in Year 1, and for a period of 12 months to students joining in Year 2.

    The Work-study Track is available for the following specialisations: Audit and Consultancy; Banking and Wealth Management; Insurance Management; Sustainable Development and CSR; Purchasing and Supply Chain Management; International Event Marketing and Management; Digital Marketing; Wealth Management.

     

    Work-study in detail

    • Contract type: contrat de professionnalisation (Professional training contract), contrat d’apprentissage (apprenticeship contract) or a convention de stage alterné (work-study internship agreement)
    • Format: 1 week School-based followed by 3 weeks company-based
    • Main objective: To combine theoretical knowledge with professional experience
    • Securing a contract with a company: The School provides you with the necessary search tools to assist you in your professional project. Once you have successfully completed the Admissions tests, you will have access to the numerous work-study offers available to our students.

    Work-study Track

    Multiservice charge

    Fee: €250

    This one-off Multiservice fee gives access to the following services: Multimedia and Internet network, Cyberlibris (online library), Student Identity Card, Reprographics credit, Intranet, e-learning modules, Wi-Fi, Career Centre activities and services, International Insurance-Assistance (for any periods spent abroad during the period covered by this contract), University library, University Medical Service etc.
