The Pedagogy Lab is an integral part of Excelia Business School’s pedagogical strategy, serving as a transversal support structure for the development and enhancement of teaching practices.
Enhancing the quality of learning and the coherence of pedagogical frameworks
The Pedagogy Lab supports teaching teams on the methodological and pedagogical dimensions that underpin the quality of learning frameworks. It assists with assessment practices, the clarity and quality of syllabi, instructional design, and the structuring of competencies, with a view to ensuring coherent learning pathways and continuous improvement of learning outcomes. This support draws on recognized academic and professional reference frameworks, strengthening the robustness of pedagogical arrangements.
Supporting pedagogical innovation to enhance learning experiences
The Pedagogy Lab also acts as a facilitator of pedagogical innovation, accompanying professors in the experimentation and deployment of formats that enrich courses. It supports the development of active learning approaches, game-based learning initiatives, interdisciplinary and multicampus projects, as well as the integration of digital and immersive learning environments, including Immersive Learning Experiences (ILE®) and educational metaverses. These pedagogical innovations are designed as levers to strengthen student engagement, analytical skills, and the capacity to act in environments shaped by environmental, societal, digital, and human transitions.

Developing, sharing, and recognizing teaching practices
The Pedagogy Lab contributes to faculty professional development by encouraging the sharing, capitalization, and dissemination of teaching practices within the Faculty. It supports the visibility of pedagogical initiatives, the analysis of their impact on learning, and their diffusion at institutional level. This recognition dynamic is notably embodied through the Excelia Foundation Award for Pedagogical Innovation, which highlights structured, sustainable, and transferable pedagogical approaches, illustrating Excelia’s ability to turn pedagogical experimentation into a driver of transformation and reference.
