    The Masters of Science (MSc) are open to students who have already studied in higher education for a minimum of 3 years, as well as to management executives and employees who have significant professional experience.

    There are 3 different tracks available (24 months, 16 months or 12 months) and a large choice of industry-specific and job-specific specialisations, which are in line with the expectations of today’s companies. The programme takes an innovative approach to teaching, with the sole objective of ensuring our graduates enter the world of work with ease: 85% of our graduates find a job within 6 months of graduating.

    Associate Professor in Finance and Information Systems, Amir Hasnaoui heads up the Finance, Accounting and Information Systems Department at La Rochelle Business School.
    He holds a Master degree in Finance as well as a Professional Master degree in Information Technologies from the IHEC Institute of Advanced Business Studies Carthage (Tunisia), a Master 2 in Management Sciences from IAE Poitiers (France) as well as a PhD in Management Sciences from the University of Evry (France) and the Telecom Business School.

     24-month Track

    Year 1: core courses in the fundamentals of business, management and personal development as well as electives in a chosen specialisation. Taught by the Faculty of ESG-UQAM and La Rochelle Business School.

    Year 2: courses in one of the sector-specific or job-specific specialisations.

    ESG UQAM

    The 24-month programme is delivered in pedagogical partnership with the ESG-UQAM School of Management at the University of Quebec in Montreal. La Rochelle Business School is the only French school that offers programmes, the equivalent of 5 years of post-High School education, in partnership with ESG-UQAM, thus benefitting from the pedagogical experience of the lecturers from this university.

    • Admissions: minimum 3 years of post-High School education or international equivalent – Admissions via selective entrance test
    • Language: 100% French Track or English Track depending on chosen specialisation. For the work-study track, Year 1 is only available in French
    • Professional experience: Possibility of a Work-study Track over 12 months or 24 months, depending on the chosen specialisation.
      Classic Track: Year 1 – Internship (5 months) OR Internship (3 months) + Humacité© project (2 months) / Year 2 – Internship (6 months)
     

     16-month Track

    Start date: January

    Year 1 (January-June): The focus is on Innovation & the Agile Business as well as new business models, all linked to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

    Year 2: courses in one of the sector-specific or job-specific specialisations.

    • Admissions: minimum 3 years of post-High School education or international equivalent – Admissions via selective entrance test
    • Language: 100% French Track or English Track depending on chosen specialisation
    • Professional experience:
      Year 1: 3-month internship in France or abroad OR a Humacité© project
      Year 2: 6-month internship in France or abroad or a Work-study Track over 12 months, depending on the chosen specialisation.
     

     12-month Track

    Start date: September

    Specialisation year, choosing one of the industry-specific or job-specific specialisations on offer.

    The objective is to ensure our future graduates enter the world of work with ease by training them to become veritable experts in their chosen field.

    • Admissions: minimum 4 years of post-High School education or international equivalent – Admissions via selective entrance test
    • Language: 100% French Track or English Track depending on chosen specialisation
    • Professional experience:
      6-month internship in France or abroad or a Work-study Track over 12 months, depending on the chosen specialisation.
  • MSc 24-month Track (September start date)

    Acquiring the fundamentals of strategy

    Year 1 focusses on core courses in the fundamentals of business, management and personal development as well as electives in a chosen specialisation. Students benefit from the expertise of the Faculty from ESG-UQAM and from La Rochelle Business School.

    Themes in Year 1:

    • Becoming a successful and responsible leader
    • Winning markets and being profitable
    • Motivating the organisation and achieving objectives
    • Taking a strategic vision of organisations
    • Putting things into practice: lessons in chosen specialisation (industry-specific or job-specific)

    Highlights of Year 1:

    • Strong emphasis on Soft Skills: throughout the year, students will work on human and relational qualities in business such as listening skills, open-mindedness, communication skills, creativity and leadership
    • Interdisciplinary team work: throughout the year, students will work in groups on real-life business management scenarios
    • Coach Inside: through this unique approach, students benefit from individual and collective coaching, to not only support and guide them on issues related to the business world, but also to improve their personal skills and competencies

    MSc 16-month Track (January start date)

    During the 1st semester, from January to June, students will take a close look at new business and management models. Core courses are centred around three themes.

    Themes in Year 1:

    • A fast-track study programme, enabling students to join the final year without losing an academic year

    MSc 12-month Track (September start date)

    The final year of the Master in Science focusses on chosen specialisations. This year is available to students who have successfully completed Year 1 of the Master in Science or those who join the programme after having studied in higher education for a minimum of 4 years. The programme enables students to become veritable experts in their chosen fields thanks to some 450 hours of lessons in their chosen specialisation. All specialisations are taught by recognised industry experts who are specialists in their respective fields.

    Depending on the specialisation chosen, the programme is carried out either on a work-study track or on a classic track with a 6-month end-of-study internship in France or abroad.

  • Career-focussed, the Masters in Science have been developed around experience-based teaching. Throughout your course, you will have the opportunity of learning through role-playing and team projects. Concurrently, the programme offers you the possibility of a variety of valuable human and professional experiences.

    Work-study

    For certain specialisations, you can choose a work-study track. If you opt for this track from Year 1, you will have to negotiate an employment contract (contrat de professionnalisation) or a work-study internship agreement (une convention de stage alterné) with a company (for 24 months).

    You have the possibility of carrying out a 2-month social, humanitarian or civic voluntary project in an NGO or an association, either in France or abroad.     Statut National Etudiant-Entrepreneur (SNEE)

    The Statut National d'Étudiant-Entrepreneur (National Status of Student- Entrepreneur) enables a student, or a young graduate, who is looking to create their own business, to be accompanied by a PEPITE (a student organisation which supports and guides young entrepreneurs).

    SNEE is a status attributed by a panel of judges, which meets three times a year (June, October and January), to students or young graduates who are looking to create, or take over, an activity (a business or association).

    Once obtained, it provides students with various advantages:

    • Access to a co-working space
    • Individual support and guidance from a business creation advisor
    • The possibility of substituting a compulsory project for work time on the student’s own project (subject to agreement by the Head of Programme)
    • The possibility of enrolling on the D2E (student entrepreneurship qualification)

    You have the option of taking a gap year between your two years of study, providing you with the opportunity of...

    Coach inside

    This unique educational tool has been designed to optimise intercultural teamwork and to develop leadership skills. ‘Soft Skills’ (human and relational qualities) cannot be taught as a standard management course. During Year 1, the programme offers a unique teaching method, placing you in teams to work on a real company case study covering 5 different course modules. Each group puts forward their complete analysis along with recommendations in line with the themes being addressed such as Brand Leadership, Multi-channel Marketing, Operations Management or Strategic Management of Organisations. Throughout this team case study project, a coach is on hand to analyse and help you optimise your way of working and your leadership skills, as well as helping you develop ‘Soft Skills’.

    • A ‘Multiservice fee’ – this provides you with the following services: the multimedia network, Internet and Wi-Fi, university libraries, an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) offering you discounts and other benefits, ISIC Insurance (providing insurance for projects within France as well as abroad, including third party liability, repatriation, travel assistance and baggage cover), use of photocopiers and reprographics service, access to Cyberlibris and all the School’s digital libraries, use of Microsoft Student Advantage, use of the University Medical Service
