Research Tourism Management Research Axis Activities (Since 2021):

  • November 21, 2025: Conference by Elodie Manthé (Université Savoie Mont Blanc) on "Philantourism" (integrating micro-philanthropic actions into a classic tourist stay) and its anthropological perspectives on regenerative tourism.

  • February 28, 2025: presentation of the GIS scientific council, by its director, Sylvine Pickel-Chevalier (ESTHUA-INNTO France). Excelia is a member of the GIS. The objective of this meeting was to introduce the GIS and its opportunities to Excelia’s researchers in tourism

  • March 31, 2025: Presentation by our colleague Alexandre Schwob, of a paper he co-authored with Valentina Kirova and Ronan de Kervenoael, entitled « Personal privacy norms in livestreamed restaurants: learning from digital visibility and bystanders reactance ».

  • April 9, 2025: Meeting about the digital transformation of tourism, co-organised with the International Tourism Research Alliance. The objective was to gather colleagues specializing in the digital transformation of tourism, to explore collaboration opportunities.

  • May 21, 2025: Seminar dedicated to Dr Daniela Freund de Klumbis’ research about families traveling with a child on the autism spectrum. Dr de Klumbis made a presentation entitled “Societal Multiple-impact Projects for Scaling the Impact on the Attainment of the SDGs.”

  • November 27, 2024: International Alliance Seminar on water management. V. Kirova presented the GESTE group and M.N. Elahi presented a special issue on the blue economy, with partners from Sheffield and Lucerne. Another special issue was discussed : “Sailing Blue Tourism as an Alternative Pathway for a Sustainable Blue Economy” (Annals of Leisure Research), by Kayhan Tajeddini (Sheffield Hallam University)

  • August 21, 2024: Comodal seminar presenting research on employee engagement (AMI COVID Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region project), with intervention by Thinh-Van Vu (FPT Univ Vietnam).

  • June 18, 2024: GIS Scientific Council proposing the modification of research axes according to CNRS recommendations and approving the attachment of the journal Mondes du Tourisme to the GIS.

  • April 18, 2024: GIS Scientific Council validating the TREMPLIN "POLYGONE" project and an agreement with the Presses Universitaires de Rennes (PUR).

  • April 4, 2024: "THTS Researchers' Day" at the Ferrandi Paris school. Participants, including A. Schwob and K. Grande, discussed interdisciplinarity and AI in sustainable tourism.

  • March 26, 2024: Distance seminar on mobility behaviors and risk perception, with speakers including Jeanne Lallement (Univ. La Rochelle) and Timo Ohnmacht (HSLU Lucerne).

  • February 23, 2024: Meeting of the international Alliance (Sheffield, UAGM, Lucerne, Vistula, Excelia) discussing projects on blue and sustainable tourism, as well as European funding.

  • January 29, 2024: GIS Tourism Studies Scientific Council meeting (A. Schwob present), validating the format of "Micro-projects" calls for proposals and discussing ORCID code integration.
