Biography
Sarra Azib holds a PhD in Management Sciences, specialising in Marketing, from the University of Western Brittany and is currently an Assistant Professor at Excelia Business School.
Her research lies at the intersection of consumer behaviour, perceived value theory and sustainable food marketing, with a particular focus on food waste reduction behaviours. Her doctoral thesis contributes to this field by introducing and conceptualising perceived residual value, defined as the value consumers attribute to a perishable food product at the end of its life. She has presented her work at several international academic conferences, including EMAC, AFM and ACIEK. In 2024, she received the Best Paper Award at the 40th International Congress of the French Marketing Association.
Alongside her research, she has experience teaching marketing, market research, and qualitative and quantitative research methods to undergraduate, postgraduate and engineering students, both in France and internationally, notably at Thuongmai University in Vietnam.
