    The Summer & Winter School courses include cultural excursions and company visits, with a 2-day trip to Paris for participants on the Fashion, Design & Luxury course. Up to 4 weeks in Business Management or 2 - 4 weeks in French Language & Culture.

    Excelia invites international students to apply for one of our short courses. They have been designed to help you develop an international outlook and learn the necessary skills and competencies in order to acquire an expert understanding of business and management. All our short courses in business are taught entirely in English. They include cultural excursions and company visits, where you will discover different business models and meet entrepreneurs.

    Summer programmes

    Fashion, Design and Luxury Industry Management

    This summer course focusses on luxury and fashion brands. To fully understand the specificities of the luxury and fashion industry and its management, you will explore the main advances and developments in the various luxury sectors. You will acquire an advanced understanding of the new global dimension of this industry, as well as the socio-cultural and context-related impacts on the branding of products in this sector.

    You will have the unique opportunity to enjoy this Summer School course in La Rochelle, France (6th - 17th July 2021) and Florence, Italy (17th - 22rd July 2021).

     

    Modules:

    36 contact hours and 9 ECTS credits (12 contact hours and 3 ECTS credits per week)

    • Week 1: Fundamentals of the Luxury Industry & Brand Management
    • Week 2: Luxury Innovation & Sustainability
    • Week 3: New Trends in the Fashion, Design & Luxury Industry (in Florence, Italy)

    Dates:

    • July 6th - July 22nd 2021 (accommodation 5th - 23rd 2021)

    Fees:

    • €2,850 (i.e. €950 per week including accommodation).
    • Not including transport from France to Florence (Italy)

    Ux & Webdesign

    Taught entirely in English, this course is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and competences in order to acquire the skills necessary in web design thinking, community & content management, without needing to knowledge in these fields. The academic course will cover multiple aspects of the web design, community management and marketing strategies that will allow students to acquire a deep understanding of these different subjects. All courses end with a case study of a project work which allow students to put into practice what they have juste learned. 

    Modules include informative case studies to explore the design process and help you to develop your own tools for successful promotion and communications.

     

    Courses:

    63 hours and 12 ECTS credits (21 hours per week, case studies, project work and 4 ECTS credits per week)

    • Week 1: Fundamentals of Graphic Design (publishing & stationery)
    • Week 2: Web Design
    • Week 3: Motion Design

    Corporate Social Responsibility & Event Management

    Courses are taught entirely in English by faculty members who are experts in their respective fields.

    You will have the opportunity to learn how to implement the various CSR components on a practical level, through innovative case studies related to sustainable development. You will therefore acquire the key competencies to be able to develop a sustainable and ethical project in a specific business sector.

     

    Courses:

    90 hours and 12 ECTS credits

    • Module 2: Event Management

    Corporate Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship

    Participants will acquire conceptual and practical knowledge necessary for operating in the context of social innovation and social entrepreneurship. They will be exposed to international approaches and practices with a view to better understand social innovation impacts and the rise of hybrid organizations.

    The programme provides a set of methods and tools for designing innovative solutions within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals by looking into recent changes and trends in the major economic regions of the world.

    The programme will also explore how companies can engage in successful social innovation.

    French, Culture and Gastronomy

    La Rochelle has maintained its architectural heritage, making it one of the most picturesque and historically rich cities on the Atlantic coast.

    It is renowned for its delicious fish and seafood cuisine, and you will discover a wealth of dishes made with sea salt from the Ile de Ré, local mussels, world-famous Cognac, and Pineau des Charentes!

    Sightseeing trips will be organised to enable you to experience our extensive history and culture: a tour of La Rochelle city and its Towers, the food market with its local products, 1 entry ticket for the annual Francofolies French music festival, oenology & wine tasting workshops, cooking classes, visit to a salt producer, visit to a Cognac and Pineau des Charentes producer etc.

    French, Culture and Sports

    The historical, nautical and coastal city of La Rochelle will charm you with its beautiful natural setting and surroundings.

    International Supply Chain Management & Strategy

    Taught entirely in English, this course has been designed to provide you with the essential management competencies, as well as an expert understanding of International Supply Chain Management & Strategy. In addition to the academic element, you will have the opportunity to visit local, regional and national companies, where you will discover different business models and meet entrepreneurs.

    Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded 10 ECTS credits.

    The International Supply Chain Management & Strategy course provides an insight into established planning and organisational principles in supply chain management as well as modern tools to achieve an efficient value stream. Throughout the course, you will study not only the latest but also possible future approaches to international supply chain management.

     

    Courses:

    • 4 weeks: 80 hours and 10 ECTS Credits

    As companies evolve in a globalised environment, where economic liberalism and financial deregulation dominate, their activities are regularly scrutinised by their different stakeholders. Corporate Social Responsibility is therefore a key element in any organisation’s strategy and activities.
