Director of the Master of Science in Digital Communications and Influencing Strategy Marie LE COSQUER

Digital innovation, Data and Artificial Intelligence are fundamentally altering the way business communications is conducted. Mastering technology, being creative, possessing a keen sense of customer relations, having the ability to develop a 360° strategic vision of communications... the combination of these skills will provide the foundation for the communications professions of tomorrow.

INFLUENCE is the new challenge in the communications of today. With the digitalisation of the media and the continued development of social media, influencers have become the new opinion leaders who can make or break a brand’s reputation. Whether they are journalists, economists, fashion or cooking enthusiasts, their opinions count more than the promise of the brand itself.

Whether agency-based or company-based, from data analysis to the writing and illustration of strategic content, it is essential to be able to successfully manage the relationship with these new players in communications, and to know how to utilise all the digital influence levers that will allow for the best management of the brand’s e-reputation.

The MSc in Digital Communications and Influencing Strategy aims to educate students to become communications managers with the ability to design, organise and control the image of a company, a product or an event within its own environment, both internally and externally.

These future communications managers will be capable of leading a team, understanding media culture and the challenges of information, and mastering digital communication strategy and the e-reputation of brands and companies, whilst being fully conscious of the ethical and socially-responsible dimension involved in communications.

This program is carried out in partnership with ISCPA, Institut Supérieur des Médias located in Paris, Lyon and Toulouse, and prepares students for a double certification Master of Science (MSc) Digital Communication and Influence Strategy and State-certified title level 7 (Bac+5) "Director of Image and Communication Projects" from ISCPA, registered in the RNCP n°35593, level 7 (UE), NSF code 320, by decision of registration of France Compétences dated 19/05/2021. The skills targeted by this title are the following:  Develop an image and communication strategy, Manage the deployment of the image and communication strategy, Design, organize and optimize its digital strategy, Manage communication professionals, Speak on behalf of the company, Develop an effective internal communication, Manage a communication budget.

  • What is "Work-study"?

Our programmes offered on a work-study track are subject to specific admissions requirements and conditions. To maximise your chances of being accepted on a work-study track, here is some useful information and helpful advice:

    • Personal interview: Candidates are strongly advised to submit a CV and a cover letter. How you perform on the day of the interview and the quality of these documents, even if optional, are all part of the assessment.
    • Academic background: an academic record with good results, although discretionary on the day of the interview, enables the interview panel to assess the ability of candidates to follow a programme that combines school-based periods with company-based periods.
    • Grant holders: as part of its commitment to social inclusion, when it comes to work-study, Excelia gives preferential consideration to applicants with grants.

Throughout your studies, the Work-study Track offers you the opportunity of alternating School-based periods, during which you will learn the theory, with company-based periods where you will work on projects relating to your studies.

Students benefit from assistance in their search for a contract with a company. This valuable support will help you to not only take stock of your personal qualities (your experiences, whether professional, association-based, sporting, charitable or international), but also your academic ability.
