In the next intake in September, adopted following the vote at the Annual General Meeting at the end of July, Excelia will boast a fourth school, with the incorporation of ESAIP Engineering School. The group is taking a major step forward in its 2025-2030 strategic plan, ‘Intelligences for our FutureS’. By choosing structural integration, Excelia is ramping up its hybrid approach and placing engineering firmly at the heart of its institutional and educational strategy. The group is thereby strengthening its position as a leading multidisciplinary establishment of public interest and giving itself the resources to achieve its ambition, namely, to promote sustainable interaction between the different academic disciplines in order to shape the models of tomorrow and to meet major societal, environmental, and technological challenges.
Valuable addition of recognised, essential fields of expertise for the transitions
With the incorporation of ESAIP Engineering School, Excelia is not simply adding a new school, but rather enriching the group with well-established and widely recognised scientific and technological savoir faire. By focussing on the transitions, ESAIP has developed several areas of expertise:
- cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in the context of the digital transition;
- risk management and environmental protection within the context of the environmental transition.
It offers post-High School programmes centred around these specialist fields: a recognised engineering qualification accredited by the CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs) since 1998, as well as Bachelor and Master of Science qualifications.
A further step in Excelia’s multidisciplinary development
By incorporating ESAIP, alongside its three existing schools (business, tourism and hospitality, communication), Excelia is adding a new dimension to its multidisciplinary strategy.
The group is putting its vision into practice: the ecological, digital, industrial, and societal transitions all call for transdisciplinary approaches and profiles capable of drawing on a range of expertise to support evolving practices. Beyond mere academic collaboration, the structural integration of ESAIP confirms hybridisation as a fundamental principle of the group’s operations, at the heart of teaching, research and pedagogical innovation.

New opportunities for students, companies, and local regions
For students, Excelia’s enhanced range of academic disciplines offers the prospect of innovative hybrid study paths and new learning experiences that are closely aligned with the realities of today’s world. In this respect, from January 2027, Excelia and ESAIP will be launching cross-disciplinary learning projects, co-designed by the academic teams from both institutions. The projects offered to students will focus in particular on the management of climate and environmental crises, combining scientific expertise, analysis, and strategic decision-making.
Both institutions will also offer enhanced support for student entrepreneurs by drawing on their complementary expertise in technological innovation, marketing strategy, and business models.
Then, in September 2027, a double qualification in ‘Engineering + Management’ will be introduced, merging ESAIP’s engineering curriculum with a management specialisation from Excelia, with the aim of shaping graduates capable of leading complex projects involving an interplay of technological, economic, and environmental aspects.
For companies and organisations, this offers the possibility to recruit graduates who are capable of leading their transformations, combining technical expertise, an understanding of practical applications, and sustainability.
Last but not least, as regards our local regions, ESAIP’s academic expertise will create new opportunities for supporting companies, institutions and stakeholders as they navigate today’s major transformations.
