    The MSc in Healthcare Management– Prevention and Wellbeing is an ambitious and innovative programme, centred around prevention, wellbeing, and improved organisational performance of health practices. Through this programme, you will become an operational, flexible and versatile manager of a Health & Wellbeing establishment, promoting an integrated health system focussed on value, integrity and efficiency. Become a responsible manager capable of responding to the latest health issues of the 21st century and to the need to develop appropriate treatment solutions.

    Through lessons in Designing Experiences and Treatment Programmes, Prevention and Care, Behavioural Sociology, and even Influence Marketing in Health and Wellbeing, this programme combines theory and practice for rapid and operational vocational integration. Lecturers are industry professionals, recognised in their field of activity and keen to share their expertise.

    You have the possibility of carrying out all of your studies in either Orleans or La Rochelle. Our classrooms on these premises are fully-equipped, enabling you to evolve in an environment conducive to creativity.

    • Three types of evaluation:
      • Continuous assessment: 40% of the final mark
        Throughout the year you will work on group or individual projects which will be marked by your teachers
      • End-of-semester exams: 60% of the final mark
        These take the form of written or computer-based exams
      • End-of-studies thesis

     

    Types of lessons:

    You will study the theory and will benefit from tutorials that will allow you to put what you have learned into practice.

    You will participate in a case study which aims to recreate the complex environment and functioning of healthcare establishments. The aim is to involve you in a dynamic learning process, enabling you to gain perspective and refine your understanding of how to manage the development of a healthcare organisation.

    Humacité©: You have the opportunity of undertaking a 2-month social, humanitarian or civic voluntary project in an NGO or an association, either in France or abroad. This is one of the unique features of Excelia, which is committed to educating students to become future managers who are both responsible and conscious of the importance of their role in society.
    Climacité©: Excelia has been committed to sustainable and responsible tourism for many years now, and its Climacité© initiative provides students with the opportunity to contribute to protecting our planet. The aim of project, which must meet one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), is to increase your awareness, whilst educating you on the issues of environmental protection and climate change. 
     

    Internships: 9 - 11 months of experience
    Each year of the programme concludes with an internship, to be carried out in France or abroad. By the end of your studies, you will have acquired between 9 and 11 months of valuable company-based experience.

     

    • Work-study Track in La Rochelle

    24 months (if joining in Year 1) or 12 months (if joining in Year 2)
    This programme is offered on a work-study track. Once you have successfully completed the Admissions tests, you will be supported in your search for a work-study opportunity via a contrat de professionnalisation (professional training contract), contrat d'apprentissage (apprenticeship contract) or a convention de stage alterné (work-study internship agreement). 
    Work-study will provide you with significant professional experience and whichever type of contract you sign with a company, you will receive a salary.  Furthermore, in the case of a contrat de professionnalisation and a contrat d'apprentissage, tuition fees are paid by the host company.
        
    Format:
    1 week School-based (La Rochelle study location)/3 weeks Company-based

  • What is ‘Work-study’?

    Our programmes offered on a work-study track are subject to specific admissions requirements and conditions. To maximise your chances of being accepted on a work-study track, here is some useful information and helpful advice:

    • Personal interview: Candidates are strongly advised to submit a CV and a cover letter. How you perform on the day of the interview and the quality of these documents, even if optional, are all part of the assessment.
    • Grant holders: as part of its commitment to social inclusion, when it comes to work-study, Excelia gives preferential consideration to applicants with grants.

     

    During your studies, this vocationally-oriented Work-study Track offers you the possibility of alternating School-based periods, during which you will learn the theory, with company-based periods, where you will work on projects relating to your programme.

    The School provides you with the necessary assistance in your search for a work-study opportunity. This support helps each student to identify their personal qualities, to highlight their experience (professional, associative, sporting, charitable, international), as well as their academic skills. It is also an opportunity to prepare a LinkedIn profile that companies can consult.

    Fee: €250
